An examination of the MARCSTA General Safety Induction and its assessment processes and the Transport and Logistics Package Unit of Competency TLIF107C has shown that most of the competency requirements for the unit Follow Occupational Health and Safety Procedures are met by the MARCSTA program.
Some aspects, however, particular to the transport industry, need to be addressed in further detail to ensure that all of the competency requirements are being met.
Inaugurated in August 2003, this 2.5 hour bridging program has been prepared to address those aspects.
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to you on successful completion of the program which is the first step toward achievement of a full industry qualification, one which is recognised by employers, industry and Registered Training Organisations throughout Australia. You must demonstrate a competency in a workplace environment to achieve this full qualification.
Details of how to gather the evidence that you have demonstrated competence in your particular working activities and are eligible to be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the unit Follow Occupational Health and Safety Procedures can be found under After MARCSTA - What Next? - Statement of Attainment.
